We are currently seeing a mature, energetic and enthusiastic individual to join the team in our Steam Railway department as an engineer/driver. Based at our Newton Abbot site, this is a full time role, working 5 days out of 7, including most weekends. The successful applicant will possess a background in engineering, including the use of lathes, milling machines and general workshop tools. This will enable them to help maintain and refurbish our collection of steam and diesel trains, including rolling stock and track. Trago Merthyr Tydfil

 

Head Chef

 

We are currently seeking a Head Chef for the busy catering department at our Merthyr Tydfil store. The catering complex consists of a café serving food at value-for-money prices, a traditional fish & chip shop and a coffee shop. The central kitchen is the hub of all food production and also supplies food to the party rooms in our soft play facility. The successful applicant will need to be able to work under pressure and have experience in running a busy kitchen. They must also have excellent customer service skills, be a team player and flexible to cover holidays and sickness. Very importantly, they must be able to ensure the correct compilation of company food safety record keeping. Duties will include: Managing the kitchen team on a daily basis, preparing of hot and cold food, advising customers of ingredients and food allergens, cleaning of all areas, including equiment, acting as Duty Catering Manager. 

 

The role is full time, working 41.25 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, between 8am and 8.30pm. Work is in straight shifts (no splits).
