We don’t care which, as while this fantastic new collection from Associated Weavers could slip comfortably into any one of three genres, saxony, velvet or twist, it is refreshingly sophisticated and a first for inclusion within the manufacturer’s saxony-rich Invictus Collection of soft-touch, deep pile carpets. So what’s so different?

In virtually a word, stitch rate, as both Aries and Taurus have super-dense constructions that, combined with refined iVinci olefin fibre pile, gives both qualities a uncommonly impressive velvet-like finish. To describe the lighter but still meaty 50 oz Aries as a velva-twist would not go amiss, thus for a chic townhouse or similar, this beautifully groomed carpet might be just the ticket.
