All Aboard! Limited Edition Trago Wagons are here just in time for the Steam Gala. If you're into model railways, you might want to sit down for this one! The long-awaited return of our Trago branded wagons is finally here - and we’ve got not one, but two exclusive new releases to celebrate!

Back with a Bang: The Trago 12t Box Van

Our iconic blue box van is back and better than ever. This latest version is based on a Southern Railway 12-ton ventilated van with a 2+2 planking body — and for the first time, it proudly features all four of our store locations in the livery. From Cornwall to Devon to South Wales, it’s a true Trago tour on rails. Not just a pretty paint job, the model includes slimline NEM couplers and authentic details like door locking bars, securing chains and 8-spoked metal wheels. It even features a nod to the nearest station to our Newton Abbot site — Heathfield — a little Easter egg for the railway buffs.

It’s a limited run of just 100, each one with it’s own individually numbered certificate and priced at only £15.99. Available exclusively from the Model Railway sales stand at our Steam Gala on 14th & 15th June (more below).

Celebrating 60 Years The Diamond Jubilee Gunpowder Van

To mark Trago’s 60th birthday, we’re launching something a little different - our very first gunpowder van! A fitting tribute to our roots, this pale grey GPV gives a nod to the site of our original Liskeard store, once a gunpowder works before it became the heart of Trago Mills. It’s an unusual, eye-catching model packed with character - from its rivet-covered body to locking bars and a miniature padlock. Just like the box van, it’s fitted with realistic running gear and NEM couplers for seamless layout integration.

It’s another limited-edition gem with only 100 made, each with its own certificate, and it’s yours for just £15.99 at the Steam Gala!

Catch Them First at the Steam Gala – 14th & 15th June

Both wagons will debut at our Model Railway Stand during the Steam Gala weekend. It’s the perfect chance to pick up a bit of Trago history, meet fellow enthusiasts, and take a nostalgic trip through 60 years of Trago charm.

Experience the beauty of steam power with a showcase of some of the finest steam and vintage vehicles, including the stunning GCR 8K, from the renowned Eastleigh Lakeside Steam Railway. Marvel at the history and craftsmanship of these classic machines.

Take a ride on Trago’s Miniature Steam Railway and feel the excitement as you journey through picturesque surroundings. Perfect for all ages, this unique experience will bring back nostalgic memories for train enthusiasts! Plus there will be some fantastic classic cars on show and Higher Beings Circus Workshops!

Let the little ones bounce their way to fun on our inflatable play area, perfect for kids of all ages.
