Honouring Welsh Heroes
Victory in Japan Day (VJ Day) marks the end of World War II, when Japan surrendered in August 1945. Welsh troops played a key role in this victory, especially in the Far East, serving bravely in harsh conditions. Trago Merthyr Tydfil proudly honours the Welsh men and women whose service helped bring peace to the world.
Family Fun & Live Entertainment
The day will be packed with activities for all ages, including a thrilling flight simulator, fairground rides, and inflatables. Live singers, First Aid Workshops and drill displays. An Air Cadet band, mascots, and special guests will keep the energy high throughout the event.
Reflection & Community Spirit
This celebration is also a time to reflect. Veterans and current military personnel will share stories, while displays honour Welsh contributions during the war. It’s a chance for the community to come together, remember the past, and celebrate peace. Join us at Trago on Saturday 9th August for a day of pride, fun, and remembrance.
