Trago has always been more than just about shopping. In addition to over 180,000 bargains, our three largest stores are surrounded by areas to sit and relax, have fun with the kids and grab a bite to eat between the retail therapy! Even our smallest store, in Falmouth, has a lovely coffee bar, with the best views in town. We also run a number of events throughout the year, at all our stores, including music and entertainment.
Conveniently located just off the A38 between Plymouth and Exeter, our Newton Abbot store consists of over 18,500 square meters filled with over 180,000 home and leisure products. Visit our store to see the full range, including carpets, clothing, furniture, fitted kitchens, toys, sports equipment, household essentials, DIY and much more. Our garden centre is the largest in the South West. There are 2,650 parking spaces, including reserved spaces for disabled drivers. Food & Drink
Our 4-in-1 Restaurant Complex offers something for everyone. Enjoy light meals, snacks and Devonshire cream teas in our fully licensed Towers Tea Room, or treat yourself to something more substantial, including slap up breakfasts, Traditional Trago roast (available on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Sundays), pasta dishes and more in the Staple Hill Servery. We also have our own take-away, serving fish and chips, nuggets, burgers, sausages and more. During the summer months, our Garden Park Café offers hot and cold refreshments together with light snacks.
We have a fantastic Kids Eat FREE deal at select eateries that runs 7 days a week from 12pm until close, offering 1 kids meal free with any adult meal purchased *excluding the breakfast, light bite & jacket potato menus. Child must be present at the time of purchase. All our food is freshly prepared and we try to source locally wherever possible.

Leisure
The Family Fun Park offers the cheapest day out for the family, other than a walk on the moor! Packed with rides for all ages, including our famous steam railway! Buy tokens from machines around the park and ‘pay as you play’! There’s also free entry to the Theden Animal Park, where you can meet our resident Donkeys, Miniature Shetland Ponies, Goats, Giant Bunnies, Guinea Pigs and more!
We now have guinea pigs and rabbits in our interactive building!

The Garden Park is our massive garden centre – the largest in the South West. In addition to thousands of plants, gardening tools, landscaping and gardening and leisure equipment, you’ll also find 12 stunning show gardens. Designed by Chelsea Gold Medal Winner, Paul Stone, these include the Devon Garden (complete with clapper bridge and mini pub), Sensory Garden, Canal Street (with full size barge and locks), Japanese Garden, Railway Children Garden…and more. Offering a quiet place amongst our busy retail areas, these gardens will delight and inspire you. Seasonal opening times apply.
The Trago Build Centre is our specialist DIY store that stocks building materials and an expanded DIY range. From timber and plaster to dumpy bags of ballast and heavy duty power tools to paint and safety gear…and much more, visit the Build Centre for your building project and DIY needs. There’s a team on hand to help with any queries and to give advice and we can also arrange local deliveries.
Trago2Wheels is Trago’s dedicated motorcycle, clothing, accessories and tools store. Thinking of buying your first bike? Get Started with us…from free ‘taster’ sessions, CBT and advanced courses from our local training partner U-Pass, through to your first motorcycle or scooter. We also offer servicing for all models of bikes. The team at Trago2Wheels are all keen bikers so can help with any queries or give advice.
Torque Tools is Trago’s on-site motoring tools and accessories store, with products also found in the main store. Next door is Trago Outdoors, which showcases a variety of outdoor leisure products that can also be found in the main store, including tents, camping equipment and more.
The Shell Petrol Filling Station is run by us and sells regular unleaded petrol, super unleaded petrol, diesel and LPG. We price check our fuel prices every day to ensure we are able to offer our customers the most competitive price. We also have automatic and self wash car wash facilities as well as a large shop selling a range of home essentials, household fuels and other bargains.
Also on site you will find a range of independent franchises and shops, including a large Co-Op supermarket, Warrens Bakery and a number of take-away outlets. There’s also a fruit & veg stall and a visiting mobile butcher every Saturday.
